After two year of study, he then entered the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta where acquired both Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees in 2002. During his time at the University of Alberta, he enjoyed mountain biking, skiing and his VW camper van. Dr. Van Dam has been practicing dentistry over the past 12 years in Medicine Hat.
Scott’s passion for dentistry has led him to have a very diverse practice, particularly enjoying pediatric dentistry, surgical procedures, cosmetic dentistry, restorative and preventative dentistry as well as dental implants. Seeing as Scott is exceptionally enthusiastic about learning a variation of new techniques, materials and procedures, he frequently attends continuing education courses and seminars.
In Scott’s leisure time outside of the office, he enjoys skiing, hiking, gardening, and cooking in addition to handy home repairs. Dr. Van Dam feels very fortunate to be able to build his career in such a compassionate office in a city that he loves.
